Episode 11

11 - Adoptee Impulsive Thoughts

After we finished filming the last episode we got into a deep conversation. The thoughts stemmed from a book (Andean Lives: Gregorio Condori Mamani and Asunta Quispe) Meg was reading and the conversation flowed like waves.

We decided to turn the camera and lights back on to film another episode. This episode is my (Sam) favorite! It was the most relaxed conversation we’ve had on camera. We kept a lot of the raw moments in the podcast and you get to hear what a typical conversation sounds like between the both of us.

We talk about:

  • The book and how to feel about Peruvian life in the 1900’s vs now
  • Raising a kid
  • Street smarts vs book smarts
  • Do you really need school?
  • Protecting yourself
  • Prepared vs paranoid
  • Robots taking over

Our thoughts aren't always finished before the other jumps in but we hope you enjoyed our random ideas for the day. :)
